Transmission meditation is a group meditation taught by Benjamin Creme, an artist who travels the world giving talks about the emergence of Maitreya, a World Teacher.
Transmission meditation is a form of group meditation that transmits spiritual energies from the spiritual planes through the group members' energy centres (chakras), making them more useful to humanity and other kingdoms of nature.
Transmission meditation is taught by Benjamin Creme, a Scottish artist who travels the world giving free lectures about the emergence of a world teacher, Maitreya, and a group of enlightened masters, the "Masters of Wisdom." Creme has also written several books about the subject.
One of the funniest, wittiest and definitely most humble lecturers when it comes to "spiritual" subjects, Creme refuses any income from his talks or writings. Any donations are used instead by Share International, an organization dedicated to spreading the message about Maitreya's emergence.
Transmission Groups In 40 Countries
According to Creme, transmission meditation is an act of service to humanity. There are more than 600 transmission groups that meet regularly in 40 countries. Transmission meditation workshops and group meditations are always free of charge.
No experience or expertise in meditation is needed, and transmission meditation does not interfere with any religious or spiritual practices. However, it is recommended that children under 12 do not take part in a transmission meditation group. People with a history of heart problems or mental/emotional illness may find the energies too stimulating.
Local transmission groups meet regularly, sometimes several times every week. A transmission meditation can last for hours, although participants are free to leave whenever they wish.
What Happens In A Transmission Meditation
In transmission meditation, all that is needed from the participants is that they focus their attention on the ajna centre, the energy centre between the eyebrows. This creates alignment between the physical brain and the soul or higher self.
The mantra "om" is said silently (mentally) to help bring attention to the ajna centre. All that one then needs to do is to try to maintain this alignment by focusing on the ajna centre, and if the attention wanders, to bring it back by silently saying "om."
And that's it, in all its simplicity. There are no special breathing techniques and no magical experiences. All one has to do is to maintain the alignment by staying focused on the ajna centre, which is not always as easy as it may sound. According to Creme, the Masters of Wisdom direct the energies through the participants and then re-direct these "stepped-down" energies to where they are most needed in the world at the time.
Creme has also written a book about the subject titled, Transmission: A Meditation For The New Age.

Thank you for this informative article. I've practiced Transmission
Meditation for about 22 years, and it has changed my life...the way I
approach life and the way I respond to life experiences. It is true that
meditation brings one into rapport with one's soul, and during the many
hours of Transmission Meditation which make up the lives of those who are
committed to this powerful world service, one is aligned with one's soul
for that length of time so that the connection is strengthened hour by
hour.
Since it is a group meditation, one is aided in
maintaining a constant rhythm, once, twice or three times weekly, by
knowing that a group is meeting at those specified times.
There is never a charge for this meditation, since it is a voluntary
service. Yet the rewards are huge.

I've been involved in this type of meditation for about 6 years now. The
above article covers the essentials, so let me add something about the
peculiar process of "transmitting".
Speaking
personally, it was almost strange at first to imagine how merely sitting
there with a group and having energy run through our chakra system could be
very effective.
Well, not only do you become more and more
sensitive during Transmission Meditation to these energies which can seem
quite tangible (and fluctuate in varying intensities), but it's becoming
more apparent to me that energy on the mental plane must be immensely more
powerful than anything on the astral/emotional planes. Surely these higher
forces can be received and utilized by those certain world leaders and
enlightened thinkers working for the betterment of humanity in whatever
realm - politics, economics, education, humanitarian causes, science, or
spiritual endeavors. Add to it the re-orienting of humanity as a whole to
the incoming energies of Aquarius, and you can see how important this work
becomes.

I'm so grateful to see information about this wonderful form of meditation
on your site. I've been hosting Transmission Meditation groups at my home
for 15 years. It has been my experience that, as Benjamin Creme says, it
is possible to make tremendous progress on one's path doing this form of
meditation. The energies we come into contact with are incredibly potent.
While Transmission is practiced as an act of service to humanity, one is
changed by contact with these energies. Such changes include a greater
sense of spiritual detachment, a deeper connection to one's true self or
soul and an awareness that we are all connected to each other in the world.
Though it is a simple form of meditation, the practice of concentration
also reaps many benefits for daily life. I can highly recommend giving it
a try.

I have been doing this meditation for the past 4 years, and it constantly
amazes me how powerful it can be. I was a novice at any kind of meditation
when I began, so it is not just for those who have a background in
meditation already. I would say it is for those who have a powerful desire
to serve humanity. That is a lot of people! And the more people
participate, the more potent it is at facilitating positive change in the
world.

How nice to see your good discussion of transmission meditation! As a
practitioner since the 1980s, I have found this to be an excellent way to
be of service to all of humanity. To sit quietly for a few hours each week
is little enough to do in order to help the world. Simplicity of service
indeed.
We do welcome any people who feel drawn to this work and
have transmission groups in many locations within the U.S. and around the
world.

I started Transmission Meditation in 1994, 3 nights a week. It seems to be
the best meditation practice that I have tried over the years. I have my
own personal meditation and the two do not conflict. Any practice related
to meditation and service can empower the link to one's own Self (soul). I
know I have grown in some ways good and have shrunk in some ways that were
bad (temper that is). My studies in the Esoteric Philosophy have become
more mental than emotional and I feel a better sense of self control in
everyday life. Find a Transmission Meditation group in your area and try
it! Remember, you are the soul.

As a participant in Transmission meditation since the 1980s, I am delighted
to read your article on the subject. With only a few hours each week,
little enough time to spend in service to the world, it has also been
personally satisfying and enlightening. In developing greater alignment
with one's soul, there is also an increased ability to concentrate as well
as a greater sense of creativity. The time spent in this service is also a
way to burn off karma and progress through the spiritual development so
many of us aim for. I highly recommend this practice being added to
whatever personal meditation anyone already practices.

This is a mediation for helping the world now and in the future times. We
benefit so much from doing this "work". Such an easy meditation
that can be taught in a few minutes of explanation with no classes needed
and never costs any money. The more people who do it, the more effective
is the help for our troubled world. I've been doing it regularly 18 years
a couple of nights each week. I believe I am helping and have been helped.
Some people have received healing.
